Search a name, switch service (IAS, representatives, IPS, state cadres & more), or open Hisaab — the documented public record of how officials answered for their duties.

Pick an officer to see their full career timeline — postings, promotions, and central-deputation stints.

Pick an office (designation) and watch who has held that chair over time. Narrow by cadre, or by place/department (the Office field — e.g. a district name like Gaya, or a department).

Choose a designation above. Try District Collector + place Gaya, or Chief Secretary + a cadre.

Terms of Use

Working draft — bracketed placeholders to be completed and reviewed by counsel before public launch.

Woodpecker Officers (“the site”) is an independent, non-commercial, public-interest project that compiles and presents information about public officials in their official and public capacities. By using the site you accept these terms.

Purpose

The site documents the careers and public record of public servants and elected representatives, drawing on official datasets and publicly available, cited sources, for information, research and public accountability.

Contributions

Information submitted by users (tips, asset information, reported issues) is reviewed by moderators before any publication and may be edited, summarised, declined or removed. By submitting, you confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and lawfully shared, and you grant the site a non-exclusive licence to review, edit and publish it. Do not submit private personal data, defamatory material, or anything you are not legally entitled to share.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. While entries are anchored to cited sources, the site does not guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free, and nothing here is a legal finding or final adjudication.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site.

Changes & governing law

These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance. Governing law and jurisdiction: [to be specified].

Only functional cookies are used — a pre-launch access cookie and, for moderators, a sign-in session cookie. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

Solely to operate the site: to review and moderate contributions, prevent abuse, and respond to you. We do not sell personal data.

Disclaimer, corrections & right of reply

Working draft — bracketed placeholders to be completed and reviewed by counsel before public launch.

What this is

Entries on the site — including the Hisaab record — are a documented register anchored to cited sources, not a verdict, conviction or final adjudication. Labels such as “alleged”, “finding”, “penalised” and “overturned” describe the stage of the underlying official record, not a conclusion by this site. Information concerns public officials in their official and public capacities and matters of public interest.

Accuracy

Entries are compiled in good faith from official datasets and publicly available sources, and are moderated before publication. Errors are possible; sources are cited so readers can verify them.

Right of reply

Any official, or their office, may submit a response, which will be published alongside the relevant entry.

Corrections & takedown

To request a correction, add a reply, or ask for removal of an entry you believe is inaccurate or unlawful, use the “Write to us” form or write to [corrections contact to be added]. Good-faith requests are reviewed promptly.

No affiliation

Woodpecker is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official publication of any government body.
